One of the things we hear most often from couples considering us is that they keep coming back to our films because, after watching one, they feel a connection to the couple in it.
For us, that is probably the highest compliment we could ask for.
We have been making wedding films for over 11 years, and over that time we have developed a very clear approach to how we shoot and edit them.
Unlike photography, where we are often much more involved in shaping parts of the day, with video we prefer to step back and let things unfold naturally. The focus stays on the couple and on what their day actually felt like.
Editing has enormous power over how a wedding story is told and how that day ultimately feels when you watch it back. Because of that, we try not to impose a story that was never there or turn the film into an opportunity to show off what we can do.
Our job is not to make ourselves the centre of the film. It is to tell your story in a way that feels honest to you and to the day you actually had.
Weddings naturally share many of the same moments and traditions, but the people at the centre of them are always different. That is what matters to us.
“Authentic” is probably an overused word now, but it still comes closest to describing what we are trying to create. If someone who has never met you can watch your wedding film and come away feeling a connection to you as a couple, then we have done our job.

Photo + Cinematography coverage is available from 2 to 10 hours, while Cinematography Only packages are available from 4 to 8 hours, giving you flexibility depending on how much of the day you would like captured.

Mike is our most senior videographer, with hundreds of weddings under his belt. He has filmed weddings both as part of our larger photo and video teams and as a solo videographer. When he isn’t out filming, he’s back at the studio editing.
As well as being our senior photo editor, Erol is one of our senior videographers, with well over a hundred weddings filmed across Fiji. His eye for detail carries through both behind the camera and into post-production.
Quickly building an impressive portfolio, Lysa joined the team as our Junior Videographer and is also part of our video editing team, working across both filming and post-production.
At 42, I’m somehow the granddaddy of the video team. I’ve been shooting weddings for nearly 20 years, trained the team in both shooting and editing, and I’m still the person everyone calls when something technical decides not to behave.
Somehow, after all that time, I also appear to have avoided ever having a decent photo taken of myself in action.
When school and assignments allow, my son Riley joins us on the video team. He’s a capable videographer who can comfortably slot in wherever we need him and always brings plenty of enthusiasm to the day. And, as the youngest member of the team, he is naturally responsible for all fetching duties.

A Moments Film, containing additional unedited clips we think are worth keeping for the memory
On-the-day drone footage where conditions and permissions allow
It can be added to both ARTISAN Photo + Video and Cinematography Only packages.
If being able to sit down after the wedding and watch your ceremony, speeches and other formalities back in full is important to you, you should add + Works.
The standard ARTISAN packages are designed around creating your Highlights Film. + Works adds the additional coverage needed to properly capture the longer parts of the day as complete films.
Since introducing + Works as an optional upgrade, around half of our couples choose to add it.
Standard ARTISAN cinematography is shot specifically to create your Highlights Film and Reel. It does not include full-length Long Play films of your ceremony, speeches or other formalities.
Capturing those events continuously while still properly filming everything needed for your Highlights Film requires additional coverage.
That is what + Works is designed for.
If you want full-length videos of the formalities captured during your coverage, you need to add + Works.
Your ARTISAN videographer is concentrating on capturing the footage needed to create your Highlights Film.
Long Play films require formalities to be recorded continuously, while we still need to capture the reactions, details and other footage required for the Highlights edit.
With + Works we can use up to two videographers as needed, allowing us to cover both properly.
Our Highlights Films are typically around 3–5 minutes, although we don’t edit to an exact running time.
The final length depends on what happens during your coverage, the footage we capture and how the story comes together in the edit.
Yes.
We capture audio from the important formalities taking place during your coverage and may use parts of your vows, speeches and other live audio throughout your Highlights Film.
If you want to be able to watch those formalities back in full, you will need to add + Works.
No, unless we have a legal licence to use that specific song.
We cannot take a song from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, a CD or anywhere else and put it into your wedding film simply because you own it, purchased it or subscribe to the service it came from.
So if you ask us to use a particular Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay or other mainstream commercial song, the answer will almost always be no.
We only use music that we have permission to license for use in wedding films.
Before editing begins, we ask you about the type of music, mood and style you like so we can choose appropriately licensed music for your film.
You are welcome to give us mainstream songs or artists as examples of the style you like, but they should not be provided with the expectation that those particular songs will be used.
This is not a creative preference and it is not something we make exceptions to. We will not use music that we do not have permission to use.
Pre-recorded aerial footage of your venue is included with our standard cinematography packages where available.
The + Works upgrade also includes on-the-day drone footage at no additional charge where possible.
However, drone footage can never be guaranteed.
Weather, wind, flight approvals, airspace restrictions, venue or property requirements and other circumstances outside our control can all determine whether we are able to fly on the day.
We shoot our wedding footage in DCI 4K, which is slightly higher resolution than standard 4K, using a Log profile, 4:2:2 colour sampling and a 100 Mbps bitrate.
Shooting in Log gives us much more information to work with when colour grading, particularly in Fiji’s bright tropical conditions.
Your finished wedding films are delivered in 4K.
We have developed our own Nadi Bay colour profile/LUT specifically for Fiji.
Strong tropical sun, deep shade, blue water, green vegetation and rapidly changing light can make Fiji quite different from shooting in many other parts of the world.
Our colour workflow has been developed over years of filming weddings here to give our work a consistent Nadi Bay look while still keeping the colours of the day natural.
Audio is one of the areas we place a huge amount of importance on.
A wedding film can look beautiful, but if the vows, speeches and voices of the people you care about don’t sound good, a huge part of the story is lost.
We put considerably more effort into capturing and working with audio than is typical in a lot of wedding video coverage, and we think it is one of the most noticeable differences when comparing our finished films with other work.
Good audio also gives our editors much more freedom to build the story around what was actually said on the day rather than relying almost entirely on music and visuals.
Your finished films are delivered through your own personal Nadi Bay video page, with all of your videos together in one place.
You can watch them online, download each film directly and return to the page whenever you want.
Password protection can also be added if you would prefer your page to remain private.
Yes. Raw footage is available as an optional paid extra, although very few couples choose it. In practice, it is roughly 1 in every 100 weddings.
It is important to understand that raw footage means exactly that: the original camera files, not additional finished videos.
Our footage is recorded in a Log profile, so straight out of the camera it will look flat and washed out. You will also need suitable video-editing software and some understanding of colour grading and video workflows to make proper use of the files.
For most couples, the Moments Film included with + Works is a much more practical way of keeping additional clips from the day without having to work with professional camera files.
The Moments Film is included with + Works and contains a collection of additional unedited clips from your wedding that we think are worth keeping.
These are the smaller pieces of footage that might not make it into your Highlights Film but are still worth having for the memory.
Unlike purchasing the raw footage, you don’t need specialist editing software or knowledge to watch it.
Yes.
We film destination weddings and elopements throughout Fiji, including Nadi, Denarau, the Coral Coast, the Mamanuca Islands and Fiji’s outer-island resorts.
Some locations require additional transport or accommodation, which will be detailed with your package where applicable.
Absolutely.
We welcome all couples and have photographed and filmed weddings and elopements for couples travelling to Fiji from around the world.
Our approach doesn’t change. The film is about the two of you and your wedding day.
